wow...time sure flies! i really wanted to keep up with this a lot better than i have, but now that i have my new laptop, i can play on the computer and still be spending time with my sweetheart (while he watches ice logging extreme or deadliest catch or golf or basketball :)
anyway, going back in time for a bit, these next few were taken on a sunday evening walk.
this is a face i could look at and never get tired of:
i took these before my final mamarazzi class, where i learned a lot of tips about photo composition. sadly, many of my photos fall into the "avoid" categories. like the rule of thirds...but most of my subjects are placed right in the center:
sometimes i get too many shot down at her. i need to try to get down on her level a bit more to get her perspective better. she still loves to point at the moon.
on may 20, we met with ron and kyoko at downtown disney for dinner. it was so fun to see them again. waiting in the stroller:
aleah got some surprises. what's in the bag?
giving her new kiwi bird a good shake (and a kiss too).
all fitted with her new backpack, so cute!
waiting for our table to be ready.
i practiced a little with night photos (no flash allowed here, just ambient light. watching the fireworks. aleah loved her bonding time here with kyoko.
your fairy tale (painted on the window). aleah, you're part of my fairy tale and i hope your life brings to many happily ever afters.
one more from that special night with pretty lights.
ok, so i titled this "catching up", so i'm continuing on. these next few were from another walk. we sometimes go to the park, or to dinner, but this was a trip to the grocery store. it was a little chilly for a dip in the fountain, but not to get close-up.
i thought this was funny. it looks like she's surprised at a plant that may have brushed her.
i always love to see her getting down and exploring everything around her. everything is interesting to her and it's so sweet!
remember those things to avoid? well, this is one of them too: don't cut people off a the knees :) but i loved her expression so here it is.
this past weekend was fun. dale started the weekend early on thursday with three rounds of golf in the desert. i had my final mamarazzi workshop class, and sally came home for a long weekend visit. saturday morning dale came home and sarah got a special delivery from thor. have you ever seen roses like these? we were all in awe of the amazing colors in this bouquet. the flowers are real.
sunday we had church and then time to read some books.
monday we said goodbye to sally...
then we headed to one of our favorite places!
we like going to a place in the park where baby can walk around a bit on her own.
heading up the steps for the slide. she went at least 15 times!
classic daddy having fun and in the process everyone else can't help but join in :)
i'm afraid if aleah ever wants to go on the teacups (the real ride), she will have to go alone; neither one of her parents likes it (to put that mildly).
the carousel is always a stop for us.
the lights were so beautiful so i experimented a bit. they're not as good as i'd like but, well, maybe with a little more practice.
the night ended with a lot of fireworks and a very tired baby too. what a great memorial day weekend we had!
this is our little grizzly...thanks to thor! we miss you and aleah wants to know when you're coming back. xoxo
there! all caught up...well, mostly. i shot some more today but considering the time, i'm going to postpone posting those until next time.

Anne,
ReplyDeleteThese are precious! I love the story that goes along with it.
